Medical and Biological Uses:
- Because of it's poisonous characteristics, Plutonium is not currently used in the medical feild.
- Up until 1974, small traces of Plutonium was used in batteries used to sustain pacemakers. The heat emmited by the Plutonium-238 provided energy meant to keep the human heart running. This method, however, was ruled out soon after because of it's hazardous nature.
- Plutonium is rarely found in compounds and must be man-made. the most common compound, found in Nuclear reactions, is Plutonium Oxide.
